I teach at both elementaries in my district. We still get to dress up for Halloween! The kids love it! And the staff has fun, too. Since I teach computer, I wanted to come up with a costume that related to technology in some way...not much luck when I googled that, so I had to think it up myself! The World Wide Web! I glued patches of spider web fabric here and there on black tee and sweat pants. Then glued a spider in each web.......each spider has a little speech bubble with a web address in it. It turned out pretty cute, I think!

A Must See
Polka Dot Snowflake Christmas
My neice and a friend have started an online business......For Keeps Design. I love the designs and they are featured on the site Freebies4Mom. They are giving away a $25 gift certificate to their store and offering a 15% coupon code to readers of Freebies4Mom. Take a look. Maybe you will be the winner. She has a 99 cent sale going on and this is one of my favorite designs....if I had to pick a favorite :)

New Niece
Well, I have been told that I need to update my blog. I have a minute so all you will get is a minute's worth. I have been really busy at school.....which I love!
Last week end Bubba and I went to Ruidoso for our 29th anniversary! We had a great time. We stayed in a cabin on the river. We shopped and drove around to see the scenery....in general we just relaxed! We stayed in #6 and would recommend it for anyone going to Ruidoso.

Well, it is almost time for school to start. I am ready and excited. I love my job! I love my district, Jim Ned...........and, especially, I love my students. They can be annoying, of course, but they are so eager and they provide me with lots of laughs. Elementary kids say really funny stuff. Sometimes you have to laugh later because they are serious! My co-workers are awesome and lots of them have become great friends.
I went to my oldest sister, Tris' house for one last fling before the school year starts. We had so much fun. We played tennis, walked and walked some more. Went to Water World! And to an awesome parade of homes....Rob got to do this with us. We ate lots of good food. And I helped her with some computer skills she had been wanting to learn. It was all about what Tris & Penny wanted to do and when they wanted to do it. It was a blast. I did come home with a stress fracture in my left foot.....bummer. I have to wear a cute...not....little blue shoe to keep it from bending. It definitely helps the pain. So I can't exercise for a while...no walking...no tennis....and no Gold's Gym with Sue........really a bummer!
Tris and Rob's house is beautiful and so is their yard. They have put lots of time in and it shows!
Our neice, Jennifer, had her baby.....Penny Lynn! I don't have a picture yet....maybe soon.
That's all for now......

The Wedding
The wedding is over. We are home and so is everyone else....but Lyndi and Collin! They are honeymooning!
It was perfect. Lyndi was beautiful. Collin was handsome. Landon and Liam were adorable....oh! and so were their parents, Laura and Kevin. Sometimes it's easy to leave the parents out when the kids are so entertaining and cute. Loved the music....very Lyndi and probably very Collin. I just don't know him as well.....yet! I have to admit, I had 3 pieces of cake. A small one at first, but then when I went back in to get my purse and there were 3 guests left inside and lots of cake....well what else could I do?
It was great to see everyone. Mom & Dad stayed a night with us on the way and a night on the way back. Then they went to Mom's sister's house, Aunt Melba and visited with her. Tris and Rob stayed a couple of nights with us and then Rob flew back after the wedding and Tris came back to stay with us a couple of days before Mom and Dad came back through to get her. That was lots of fun. Will was an usher and looked very handsome. Parker and Kathryn came and Parker's fiance, Jill. Parker was an usher, also, and Kathryn helped with the book, etc.
We missed Cari and Larry and hope they catch lots of fish and enjoy Alaska.

Today we are off to Denton for Lyndi and Collin's wedding......Rob and Tris are with us and we are all excited about the weekend of family, fun and celebration! All of the family will be in attendance except for Cari and Larry. They had an Alaska trip planned before the wedding was planned....that wasn't hard since Lyndi and Collin are on the fast track :)
